EVENTS:
Friday February 16th
Artisans will be at the Miss Lily's Banquet Hall giving free demonstrations 10-5 on Friday and 10-4 on Saturday. Several shop owners will be giving demonstrations in house and keeping their shops open late for the public to enjoy. Roscoe Morgan and Lonely Train will give a free concert on Friday at 8:00 PM at Miss Lily's Banquet Hall.
Saturday February 17th
Saturday the Heartland Little River Wedding Chapel will give FREE Marriage Vow renewals 10:00 until 2:00 PM. and a carriage ride by Echobrooke Farm will be available.
The Townsend Business Association will be hosting special events at the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center - admission price $4.00.
Smoky Mountain Quilt Stories by Merikay Waldvogel - 10 AM until 12 noon Bring your quilts! Merikay Waldvogel, a foremost quilt expert, will bring some of her prize East Tennessee quilts and share their stories. There will also be an opportunity for the audience to bring quilts on stage and show and tell. She will comment on age, pattern and materials.
Fly Tying with Bill Boyd upstairs classroom 10 AM until 12 noon Expert fly tier Bill Boyd will teach beginning and intermediate flies. Registration suggested. 25 participants/ per hour
Jewelry Engraving Dave Neamand will demonstrate jewelry engraving - 12 PM on Saturday.
Clogging with Rebecca Lee Roebucks - auditorium 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM See award winning cloggers perform on stage and get motivated to learn how! Adult and child classes taught upstairs 1 PM until 4 PM.
How to photograph Bears and White Tale Deer with Mr. Kirkland - 1:15 PM until 2:00 PM
History of the Dulcimer with Mike Clemmer - 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM
Early Explorers of Townsend with Dwight McCarter - 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM
